As an eir Graduate, you’ll get the opportunity to work in four different departments during your two year placement.
Why? Well, there’s an awful lot going on at eir and we want you to experience as much of it as possible. And rotations are a brilliant opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills.
But most importantly, the more hands-on experience you get in different areas, the quicker you can start to make an impact.
So the six months you spend brainstorming Customer Onboarding strategies will help inform your time in Marketing. And that campaign you worked on with the Digital Sales team will stand to you when you meet your first eir Business client.
We’ll work with you one-on-one to map out the combination of rotations that will offer you the most valuable experience. For example, if you are an eir Business Graduate, but would like to experience six months in one of our Finance departments, we can help make that happen.
We’re in the business of creating future leaders so we want you to get as much out of your eir experience as possible.
We invest a lot in our Graduates because we see them as the future leaders of our company.
Your mentor will be very high-up in the business. They are there to help you out when you need it, but most of all to champion you – to include you in complex projects and to invite you to high-profile meetings. Their job is to ensure you have as much exposure to the business as possible.
We want you to keep learning. Our Graduates will complete a recognised Diploma in Professional Competence (Level 6) from Dublin Institute of Technology as well as a recognised Project Management (CAPM) accreditation.
Finance Graduates will complete a ACCA qualification, sponsored by eir.
As well as a phone and a laptop, you’ll enjoy other supplementary benefits like a social club, a subsidised restaurant and a health and wellness programme.
Future job prospects
All high-performing graduates will be offered a permanent position within the company.
As our Graduate Programme is less than two years old, our first Graduates are now in their second year and on their third rotation.
Ollie Collins has a degree in Business from DCU and is an eir Business Graduate. He is currently working in our Networks department in Citywest.
The most impressive thing about the eir Graduate Programme, according to Ollie?
In no other programme would you meet the Senior Management Team so often. They really want to hear what you have to say because you’re new to the business and you're looking at things with fresh eyes. I don’t think you'd get that level of exposure in another company."
His mentor has also been an invaluable asset.
"I've been very lucky with my mentor. He is Director of Sales. He’s really supported me in every way that he can. He’s included me on projects that I never expected to be included on."
