Once I’ve ordered, what happens next?

Bill Pay - with a device & SIM Only

You will need to send us the requested documentation, once we have received all documents and all requirements are met, your mobile broadband sim and device will be shipped to you within 48 hours.

What is the contract length?

Bill Pay Mobile Broadband is subject to a 6 months or 30 day contract.

If you are having problems connecting to the Internet, please check the following:

  • Check you have sufficient coverage by checking the number of bars on the signal bar which is located in the middle of the Broadband Manager Screen.
  • Your computer is switched on and had finished starting up
  • Your device is correctly plugged into the USB port
  • Your SIM is inserted correctly into the device
  • Check your antivirus software or firewall software is not interfering with your connection. You may need to switch it off when installing the broadband device or click 'allow' for the software to connect to the Internet when prompted.

Can I use eir Mobile Broadband while abroad?

Yes, you can use your mobile broadband abroad. To set up roaming on your eir Mobile Broadband account, contact our Customer Care team. A deposit or pre-payment may be required.

Where can I find my eir Mobile broadband number?

You can find your eir Mobile broadband number on the broadband device manager screen. Just go to Tools / Diagnostics, click on the 'SIM' tab, and then choose 'Own number' (MSISDN).

Data allowances if available at the time of roaming can be used while roaming in the EEA subject to fair use limits where applicable. EU roaming fair use allowance is calculated in line with Regulation (EU) No 531/2012 (as amended) and Data wholesale roaming price caps. Where there domestic data allowance has not been fully consumed but the fair use allowance has been fully consumed, a surcharge rate of €9.47 per GB/€0.00925 per MB (based on Regulated rate of €7.70 per GB excl. VAT) will apply until the domestic allowance has been fully consumed. Standard domestic rates apply thereafter.

Additional Charges

Out of bundle data usage will be charged at €0.02 per MB incl. VAT
