Porting FAQs

How long does the porting process take?

Pay As You Go numbers will transfer within 2 business hours Monday to Friday 9am-7pm. Bill pay numbers with only one number on the account will transfer within 8 business hours Monday to Friday 9am-7pm. Bill Pay numbers with more than one number on the account will transfer within 24 hours Monday - Friday.

How do I know when my number has been ported over?

You will notice the signal drop on your old phone and this means your number has moved onto the eir mobile network.

Can I still use my old phone from my previous provider?

Yes this is possible. What you need to do is request an unlocking code from your previous provider for the handset. Once you have entered this code you can use any SIM in that phone.

Can I transfer my credit onto the new SIM card?

Unfortunately we cannot transfer credit from another provider onto the eir mobile SIM. We would recommend you use your old SIM card until you have used all the credit you have on your previous account.

Can I transfer my contacts onto my new phone?

Yes this can be done. You will need to do this through Bluetooth or if you put your new SIM into you old phone and copy to SIM. If you have any issues with this you can go to your nearest store.
