eir completes significant infrastructure deal with InfraVia

30 June 2022 – Further to the announcement made on 28 January 2022, eir today announces that eir and
InfraVia Capital Partners have concluded the 49.99% investment by InfraVia European Fund V in Fibre
Networks Ireland Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of the eir group). In connection with this investment,
Fibre Networks Ireland Limited has obtained €765m in dedicated financing, at improved terms to eir’s current
debt. It is eir’s intention to keep its net leverage below 4 x EBITDA. The investment arising from this
transaction will allow eir to increase the pace of expansion of its fibre-to-the-home broadband network. On
completion this network will serve 84% of homes and businesses in the country, meaning Ireland is on the way
to becoming one of the most fibre connected countries in the world.
